When it comes to motorcycles that combine power, style, and a touch of history, MV Agusta has always been at the forefront. Their latest limited edition offering, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR Assen, is no exception. Inspired by the iconic “Cathedral of Speed,” the Assen Circuit, this Italian beauty pays homage to MV Agusta’s 35 victories on the legendary Dutch track. In this article, we’ll delve deep into the details of this exclusive motorcycle, exploring its design, performance, and what makes it a true collector’s item.

Racing Heritage Meets Exquisite Craftsmanship

MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR Assen is a name synonymous with racing excellence, and their track record on the Assen Circuit speaks volumes. Since 1976, when Giacomo Agostini secured victory in the 350 class, MV Agusta has been a dominant force on this historic track. The Brutale 1000 RR Assen, limited to just 300 handcrafted units, celebrates those glorious days in style.

Collaborating closely with the Assen Circuit, MV Agusta has created a masterpiece that embodies both the spirit of racing and Italian craftsmanship. This special edition boasts unique Assen edition finishes and parts, from emblems and plaques to carbon fiber panels and aluminum side plates. The blue Alcantara upholstery and special finishing touches add to its allure, making it a true work of art on wheels.

The Aesthetics: A Symphony of Colors

One glance at the Brutale 1000 RR Assen, and you’ll be captivated by its elegance. MV Agusta has meticulously combined Blu Nordico, Argento Ago (blue and silver), and gold to create a color palette that exudes sportiness and attention to detail. This color scheme complements the bike’s first-rate technical equipment, setting it apart from the crowd.

But it’s not just about looks. This limited edition motorcycle is as powerful as it is beautiful.

MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR Assen Power and Performance

Underneath its stunning exterior lies a Euro 5 compliant 998 cc inline four-cylinder engine. This powerhouse churns out a remarkable 208 horsepower at 13,000 RPM and 116.5 Newton-meters (85.9 pound-feet) of torque at 11,000 RPM. With a dry weight of just 183 kilograms (403 pounds), the Brutale 1000 RR Assen boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 1.1 horsepower per kilogram.

When it comes to handling, this MV Agusta is equipped with top-tier hardware. It features a 43-millimeter Öhlins Nix EC hydraulic upside-down fork with 120 millimeters of travel at the front and an Öhlins EC TTX rear shock with the same travel in the rear. Both suspension systems are electronically controlled, allowing for precise adjustments in compression and rebound damping. The rear suspension even offers electronically adjustable spring preload.

Braking and Wheels

Braking power is nothing short of exceptional, thanks to double floating discs at the front (measuring 320 millimeters each) and a single steel disc at the back (220 millimeters). The front brakes are controlled by Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers and a radial Brembo master cylinder, ensuring precise stopping power. The rear brake is also Brembo, featuring a PS13 brake master with a two-piston caliper.

To add to its exclusivity, the Brutale 1000 RR Assen rides on Rotobox carbon fiber wheels, adorned with a striking blue carbon weave. These lightweight wheels come in at 3.5 x 17 inches in the front and 6 x 17 inches in the rear. They are wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SPs, guaranteeing exceptional grip and control.

Special Parts Kit: Unleashing Extra Power

As if all these features weren’t enough, MV Agusta sweetens the deal with a Special Parts kit. This kit includes a Titanium Arrow exhaust, CNC-machined brake and clutch levers, a carbon fiber passenger seat cover, an aluminum fuel cap, and a protective motorcycle cover. These components not only enhance the motorcycle’s performance but also add a touch of exclusivity.

The Brutale 1000 RR Assen is more than just a motorcycle; it’s a piece of “Motorcycle Art” that pays homage to MV Agusta’s racing legacy.
